Two weeks ago, while I was talking to the gardener in the front yard, his assistant went to work at the back yard. I heard a loud abrupt noise coming from there, but kind of ignored it, as he continued working, spreading noise with his lawn mower.

When they were gone, I looked at the bedroom’s glass door and saw it was broken.
(Beautiful artistic design, but nevertheless – a broken glass!)
There was nothing much I could do, cause I didn’t really WITNESS the gardener doing the damage. stoneHowever, a week after I deliberately stopped him by the door for a brief conversation.
He could not ignore the spectacle, and pretended to be utterly surprised.
Gardener: Oh, what’s that?
Me: I don’t know, you tell me…
Gardener: It’s probably the heat. The sun broke your window.

I called this efficient guy from this efficient glass company and he rushed to the crime scene.
Efficient guy: It was your gardener. I see these cases 4 times a month and I’m 22 years in this job… here is the spot where he was working… and oh, here is the stone that broke your window… I’ll send you the estimate today.

♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣        A week later-
Me (to the gardener): Your assistant broke my glass.
Gardener: No he did not break any glass.glass door
Me: (going over what the repair man said, pointing to the stone): — And here is the stone, still lying on the floor.
Gardener: Yeah, right, the stone stayed here for two weeks?
And 3,2,1—
Me: How do you know it got broke two weeks ago?
Gardener: You told me.
Me: No, I did not.
That’s what happens when you watch lots of thrillers; you become one with them.

♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣          Crime has been solved. Justice has prevailed. The gardener is paying for the glass.
